Summer vacation looks a bit different this year so we're helping you embrace the STAY-cation!

We're all trying to stay closer to home this year and while that might mean your typical summer vacation was canceled, it doesn't mean there's no way to enjoy the summer. So, we've compiled a list of staycation spots within driving distance of Denver. Stay safe and enjoy!

1. HOT SPRINGS

While it still may be summer don't underestimate the relaxation of the hot springs no matter what season it is.  Many locations boasting views to die for and the perfect escape.  Colorado is blessed with quite a few options from family friendly locations to that adult only VIP experience.  Take only 45 minutes to get to the Indian Hot Springs or turn it into a short road trip to the Strawberry Hot Springs about three hours away.  We could all use a little more stress relief these days.  Sit back, relax, and say 'aahhhh'.

2. SLEEPOVER

Who is ready for a pajama party?  Get inspired while you dream by visiting one of Denver's hotels for a night cap.  Maybe you want to enjoy a magical sunset or take in exquisite design at Art, A Hotel.  Maybe it is an adult playground with rooms full of personality and surprises around every corner at The Curtis Hotel.  Perhaps it is an adult beverage and well appointed leather chairs at The Nickel inside Hotel Teatro.  Possibly it is time to indulge in an urban refuge at Born with unsurpassed luxury and an elegant vibe.  No matter where you stay, Denver's hotel collection has a little something for everyone to unwind & feel like you are home away from home!

3. PLAY INDOORS

This is no time for Dave & Buster's (though that is still an option).  Get ready for a game of ping pong at Ace Eat Serve, bowl your way to a good time at Punch Bowl Social, or get your game face on by playing on the World's Largest Pac-man at The 1up Arcade Bar.  It doesn't hurt that each of these locations offer a variety of creative libations and tasty food to help keep you "in the game" when visiting.

Staying Home Instead?

Luckily there are lots of ways to still enjoy the summer while staying safe.

4. ADVENTURE AWAITS

Hikes, bikes, and trails!  With so many options to get out in the fresh air, why not go on a new adventure?  Visit the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo to get your animal fix.  Roam around the Garden of the Gods and finish the day 12 minutes away with some delicious BBQ from Rudy's.  Possibly take a hop, skip, and jump to Eleven Mile or Lake George for some fishing or low key water sports.  Where ever adventure takes you, it will be filled with all Colorado has to offer.

5. BROADWAY OR BUST

Near downtown Denver, Colorado is the heart of a thriving commercial, artistic and residential neighborhood.  Although known locally as “Antique Row,” a variety of shops and services now inhabit the historic structures along South Broadway.  Trying to find a unique piece or browse some interesting treasures, Broadway has a little something for the new & old alike.  And why not stop in for some yummy eateries along the way.  We love Snarf's Sandwiches!

6. SHOP LOCAL

Nothing says summer quite like a Farmers' Market.  Tent upon tent of fresh produce, handmade eats, and delightful treats.  Make a day of supporting the local commuities!  From Longmont to Castle Rock to Boulder to Parker and everything in between, you will be delighted by deals on fresh produce and meat as well as other thoughtfully crafted beverages, snacks, and culinary items.  For times and locations CLICK HERE.
